Good Pimp Movie

Obviously inspired by "The Mack" (the best pimp movie to date) with Snoop's twist on it. It was much better than I thought it would be. I enjoyed it. If you like "The Mack" or pimp flicks..check it out. Don't listen to all these people and make your own decision.

Why can't everybody just sit back and roll with Snoop's style and the raw, unsophisticated groove this little movie delivers. Even though the production values are rotten it doesn't really hurt the movie since the girls are so hot and, it's a black thing anyway, with the flyest women and some dope hiphop - you gots to play it as you sees it, that's how it flows. There's more to enjoy here than just lookin' for a plot and academic values in cinema. Scorcese's movie Mean Streets is similar in it's lack of cinematic values, and it, too offers a slice of life story rather than a novella, just like this movie does. Yet it's a highly regarded movie, even if it's as sloppy and loose-scripted as this one. I'm not comparing the 2, rather pointing out that you shouldn't let sophomoric technique blind you to possible merits that would be a shame to ignore, and summarily dismiss those merits, blinded by prejudicial judgements. I dug Snoop's story here much more than any of those Hollywood movies on the 200 station choices I had to choose from. You can't tell me this movie wasn't Funky as a Humpback Gnat, chewin' Chicken Fat, ridin' the left hump on a Bullfrog's back.
