Bravo Branagh!

Branagh's AS YOU LIKE IT is one of my favorite films of a Shakespeare play. Though the setting of feudal Japan seemed a bit odd at the outset, it grew on me. The casting is superb. The direction is as well. Branagh is an expert at taking what might seem to be stock characters, and finding great depth and humanity with them.
As much as I love Branagh's wonderful film of Henry V, I like this one even better.
I'm currently directing a stage production of this play, and I'm stealing from him left and right.
