Glitch in PSP game??

I live in the UK, and recently got the PSP version of this game. The problem is, it won't load. The PSP obviously acknowledges the disk, as it goes to the white screen that says "PSP" as it does with my other games, then leaves and goes to black, as does my other games. You know, the black screen before the game fully loads. Problem is, my other games load, this stays on the black screen for no matter how long you leave it. I have a full memory stick- I deleted all my other game saves to see if that was the problem, it wasn't : (
Has anybody had this experience? Does anybody have any suggestions?

i have one problem before when i was loading a psp game but not this one. when you click on the umd icon to start the game, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS. the first time i did this i was playing around with the directional buttons x, o etc...then it froze and wudnt continue loading. so when it loads just leave it alone until it gets into the game.

Or if not, take the damn game back to the shop and get a new one.
