I'm surprised an American Remake hasn't been announced..

they remake EVERYTHING. Not to mention the originality of the story, Hollywood just gobbles that stuff up & tries to call it "its own".

Why remake something that's already been made countless times? There's nothing even vaguely original here. There's not even a clever use of cliche. The only difference between this and a generic Hollywood slasher is that it didn't even try to have any likable characters, and you have go on hating everyone for over an hour before the scumbags start getting picked off.

Even as annoying as most people are in American horror films they would be hard pressed to find a more annoying cast of characters than this one. They would probably have problems finding people as naturally creepy as the bad guys too.

I don't think the bad guys were creepy at all. In fact, there's nothing good about the film that would warrant American studios to want to remake it. They would have to sew up all the plot holes, add suspense, add gore, re-do the characters, and cut out the slow parts. By the time they did all that, the movie would be unrecognizable and couldn't even be classified as being a remake.

I agree this has doesn't offer anything even remotely original to warrant actually "remaking" it. Inside is being remade - and had unique merits to it, as did Martyrs, which is also being remade. [REC] was remade and even offered more originality than this.

american won't remake it. america likes to take GOOD films and turn them into BAD remakes, not BAD films into GOOD remakes. :)
