Who is the Female Rebel Commander?

....any info and Nationality? I did not see her in any of the credits. I thought she was pretty hot!!

An old thread but anyway, I guess other people are wondering who the "rebels" are.
They are Tunisian, they speak the Tunisian dialect, and the girl too.

Is this realistic? I thought women in Muslim societies weren't usually found in positions of authority.

Tunisia is not Afghanistan, so yes women can have those positions here. Though I can understand what you're saying, especially seeing how the "rebels" are portrayed. My only guess is that the girl had that kind of authority is because she was raped.

I find it equal parts funny and frustrating that in almost 5 years, the original question in this thread has never been answered. I hope one of these days someone can tell us the name of the actress who played the female rebel soldier.
