The dramatic ending (spoilers obviously)

Did anyone actually feel sympathy for the lead in the end when she started bursting out to tears?

Here's a woman who cares only about herself, has a dog killed, has her father killed and has a baby that she shows very little affection for and drops off at random people like it's a hat... Yet the director clearly was trying to get the viewer to empathize with this chick?

That was pushing it too far, more so than the gruesome things her character did in the movie

Should have just ran with it as a dark comedy all the way, still a decent watch but yeah

Also anyone else got the impression that she was in love with her brother?

Oh the weather outside is frightful, But the fire is so delightful...
