Cirque du Freak sequel ???

When I first searched this movie on IMDB it said that it had e sequel that was in production and was coming out in 2011 or 2012, now I don't see it anymore. Maybe it is only listed on IMDB pro or they cancelled it because they expected higher gate receipts/income from the first movie... Anyone knows ?
anyway, I would have liked to see a sequel to this movie because I really enjoyed it, even if it wasn't a 10/10 movie, it was pretty interesting.

I don't know if you read the books, but the series is made up of 12 books and they are set in 4 different "trilogies" even though they just continue the same overall story line. So, the first three books are part of the "Vampire Blood" trilogy, books 4-6 are known as the "Vampire Rites" trilogy, and so on. If I am telling you a bunch of crap you already know, then I apologize for that.

The original "plan" was to make 4 movies, each movie being based on each trilogy. Unfortunately, this movie did not do so hot in the box office and as far as I know there are no plans for a sequel. I don't like to hear the typical comments about movies being different from their respective books, but in this case it really did hurt the movie's potential because they screwed with it so much and I think they screwed themselves out of more money by not sticking to the story line or the darkness of the books. Personally, I found the movie entertaining and I do think there is potential for a nice franchise based on the books because the story is fantastic and it would be a fresh take in the current vampire movie madness these days. I wish they would do a sequel, but I highly doubt it will happen.

This was probably a lot more than you wanted hahaha.

No I doubt there will be more movies on it. It was good for a movie but not much of anything else. Anyway the last book suck anyway.

I do agree with the Darkness of the books and the storyline although! I did like the ending of the film itself. Well the last book sucked since Darren dies and then does not die. Becomes a little person and then dies and his past self never experiences the adventure he goes on.

So the story never happened. I doubt the author Darren Shan will tie up that gaping Mountainous hole in the series. Everything else was excellent!

I liked How RV was a misguided soul

Ganen and Vancha March were brothers and Darius was Darren nephew and Steve was Darius father.

Cirque du Freaquel!

Awful. I just sat through 10 minutes of this movie on Syfy and that's all I can take.

Why is Cal Naughton Jr. in this?

Josh Hutcherson mentioned as recently as March of 2013 that a sequel is still being planned. Chris Massoglia has been attending school and Hutcherson's contract commitments to The Hunger Games pushed ut back a bit but I'm assuming a 2014 filming and a 2015 release
