Great Film!

Just saw this, had no idea what to expect, and found it gripping.

Stunning performances, can't quite believe that the main actor hasn't done any film before (at least, not according to imdb).

reply

Yeah, I was surprised, too. :) But the actress ruined the film for me. Her acting was awful. I would've enjoyed the movie more if they had chosen someone else. Shame...

reply

Seriously? I thought her acting was good. Not gonna-win-an-Oscar good, but I didn't find it weak at all.

reply

I didn't think the actress was bad at all.
I thought she played her role effectively.
The whole feel of the film is slow and somewhat naturalistic.
It was also set in a bleak de-populated future. I think she played her part - in this context - very well.

If it was so depopulated there should be a lot of empty real estate. And yet we see a tramp sleep on a bench in a tunnel who is studied by Puzzlehead as he comments how peaceful an activity sleep seems to be.

Just saw it; agree with Piggott.

I found this film extremely intriguing, and I'm surprised that four years later (and two years after your post), the lead still hasn't done more films. It's certainly not for lack of talent.

Here's a bio and explanation of what Stephen Galaida is doing with himself now. He sounds like an interesting fella.

Thanks for the link. Mr. Galaida certainly has diverse talents.
