Dion Mial

The person who play Dion Mial looks like Michael Jackson

reply

I googled him and it said he was a MJ impersonator.

How fitting!

I kept wondering if he was gay. Were he and Coleman supposed to be lovers or something?

I also wondered about the possible gay relationship between Gary and Dion Mial (but as Jerry Seinfeld would say "Not that there's anything wrong with that"). The New York Times critic who reviewed the movie believes the movie implies they were boyfriends.

Great article. I'm pissed I missed the movie!

I never saw NBC advertise it once!!!!!

I always thought that the real Dion was gay. I remember he and Gary put out a "rap" song called the "Outlaw and the Indian" needless to say it was horrible.

reply

Yeah...I remember seeing the two of them singing that song on the talkshows. I remember thinking to myself, "What is Gary doing hanging out with that gay dude?" I think they had to have something going on...but look at Gary now, he's married and claim to never had sex with his wife. Did anybody see Gary and his wife on "Divorce Court"? It was unreal. Todd and his wife was on "Decision House" also with Judge Lynn Toler.

In one scene as Gary and Dion drive away from his parents house the father actually screams you Michael Jackson WANNABEE! I had to rewind it just to make sure I heard it right.

reply

Yeah I caught that too (just posted that on another topic, in fact.) I also wondered if this was insinuated to be a gay relationship. If Gary is gay though, I don't think he's "out" because he was also on "Star Dates" a few years back being set up with a woman.

reply

Gary's likely not gay, never seen an inkling of that suggested from him.. Dion likely is, and they had their ups-and-downs over the years. Don't know where it all stands now. Dion was a Michael Jackson imersonator and could sing remarkably like him, too. The actor playing him really looked very close to what he looked like back then.
