Coleman gay?

Just a thought. Was this movie trying to tell us Gary Coleman is gay? If you watched, what do you think?

i thought the exact same thing. it was like they were trying to say it without saying it. are gary and dion still linked in any way? the thing that makes it interesting is that coleman was obviously (since he was on cam for the interviewing parts) attached to the project. therefore, he would have to be cool with the hinting at him being gay. maybe this is step one of him coming out?

Good replies so far. Hope we get more. I certainly have no problem with it if it's true, just chalking it up to something I hadn't known before, as well as the relationship between Bridges and Plato. Also, I hope the full cast list is posted soon. I'm curious to who played all the cast members at their various ages. Maybe we'll get more responses after the West Coast showing.

Come on. Has Gary Coleman ever seemed gay to you? He's probably just hanging out with that guy just because he's the only person in Hollywood he can trust. I seriously don't think Gary Coleman is gay.

reply

I kinda got that impression from the movie too. I never thought about it before if he was gay or not but he might be. who knows.

reply

same here. i got the impression. no offense to anyone, but at first i thought the guy, dino or w/e his name was, was michael jackson. lol

I was a bit taken by Dion's likeness to Michael Jackson myself. In fact, it was distracting. I wonder if that really was the real Dion's "way" of being, because otherwise I can't imagine why they would cast someone so distracting. Did anyone catch the "Michael Jackson wannabe" line? I was thinking, "good, I'm not the only one who thinks that!"

As for the gay issue, I was also thinking that perhaps this was a hint that Gary is either gay or has been in a gay relationship. Those two acted strangely "intimate" in their dealings, more so than two straight male men would.

Although at the same time, I remember one time several years ago of Gary's declaration of his virginity (don't know since then though; it was an article about "celebrity" virgins), which I would assume includes ANY sexual relations.

reply

The actor who played Dion is a Michael Jackson impersonator as well, so it's no surprise there was a resemblance.

reply

Not that I care, but I was on nndb.com and it said he was asexual (not affected
by sexuality).So... continue...

I remember Gary saying he was a virgin too. However, it seems far fetched that he has no desire to have sex at all, not even try it? And I've never seen him in public with any woman that wasn't like a publicity stunt. Isn't he like 40?

And didn't Gary get married about a month ago?

Gary Coleman and his wife appeared on Divorce Court earlier this past summer and he stated that when you suffer from prolonged kidney disease it can lower your sex drive...he stated that he has to be very aroused but his wife stated that she tries to get intimate with him but it doesn't work...he gave the judge the impression that he's still a virgin
