wouldn't be better if john killed them becuse he accepted his crimnal life and then he discover that he is an under cover cop & the movie end with his face shocked .... sorry if there are any mistakes English is not my first languge ..thank you
shareDuring that scene with the open grave the same occurred to me as well. It would've made a great mumblecore ha-ha-life-sucks ending for Jean Guy, morosely resigned to his true self of hardened criminality, to go ahead and shoot the two guys he'd just bonded with (of course to find out later he didn't have to). But it'd also fly in the face of the script's "I trust your true nature" shtick as voiced rather cheesily by Barry Pepper's character earlier in the story.
