Well, that lasted about 15 mintutes

Now I know why I never watched SBSA, the first hunch is always correct one. I got to the part where a girl is swimming with a guy sitting on a surfboard. The underwater floods are on and everything around the boat is aglow. Then the girl gets pulled under and the guy thinks it's a joke. Then we see him get dragged under, tho it was painfully obvious that he deliberately jumped off the board (but that's not what I'm getting at). My point is, with the water illuminating from the lights, neither he nor 'we' see the shadow/silhouette of the shark. A fish that big can not possibly go unseen. To add insult to injury, that little gem isn't even listed as a goof. Then the reminiscence of the crapfest JAWS 3 and 4 was all the incentive I needed to change channels. Casting Bryan Brown & Kathy Baker was a direct rip, and yet failed attempt of duplicating Michael Caine & Lorraine Gary.
As I started watching Home Alone II for the 1000th time, I decided to read what other people thought about it and found many folks actually enjoyed it (despite it's 3.5 rating). With comments like "the chics were smokin" or "SPRING BREAK PARTAY DUDE... YEEEHAAAH", that pretty much set the mentality of what I'd be missing.
