Does Warner Bros. not own the movie making rights? C'mon, combine the ominous hero with cool effects and get Quatermass and the Pit remade - have someone like Robin Williams (he can do the accent) play Quatermass. C'mon, let's go! Yee-haw!

If they made a new Quatermass then he should be played by someone like John Rhys-Davies.

Afaik Hammer films owns the filming rights for the first 3 stories, I think the BBC had to ask Hammer for filming rights when they did this live version, I may be wrong though.

The BBC had original rights to broadcast for tv. Hammer might had rights to make film versions.

One series of Quatermass was on ITV in 1979.
