Wow, the critics did some great unjustice

After just recently witnessing some pure Marvel CGI crap starting from Spider-Man (I'm only now starting to realize how much I hate Evil Dead 2 and love the first one) and ending with god-awful Iron Man 2, I came to realise this little gem has gotten some really undeserved bad reputation.

Surely, it is politically incorrect and way too violent, but so was the comics,

BUT

it never slipped to the oh-so-man-hurting rape or child killing. Not one scene, that might have possibly led to some cheap torture porn, and well, it really did not.

This is not some Death Wish wannabe.

It was just pure comic relief. True to the source of scumbag-killing.

And the lighting team did a amazing job.

And the make-up was superb. Might I add, Jigsaw was far more convincing than Two-Face in Dark Knight.

Oh, and actors were all cool, barely overdramatizing.

Anyway, this film was a blast. Just wanted to say :)

Unjustice is not a word; you are thinking of injustice! ;)

reply

Unjustice IS a word, look it up.

Agreed.

I watched the movie this evening and it was fantastic! Mostly fast paced, entertaining, even funny in parts. I mean, obviously it is not a high brow, intellectual movie. It's just plain good fun.

Of course it was violent, of course there were graphic, ludicrous kills ...

What did people expect? It's The Punisher.

Thanks,i agree 100%,Punisher was perfect,Jigsaw was perfect,movie was perfect.

I fully agree with you

I'm in total agreement.

Perhaps the utter lunacy of the villains could have been toned down along with some of the violence (who am I kidding, the violence is punishingly great) in order to give the film a more serious tone. But, if they ultimately wanted to make a film that felt like it came straight out of a violent comic book, then the end results were not disappointing. Besides, all the sillier elements aside, at least the Punisher was handled with some "honesty" if you ask me. Be it his killing scenes or the more dramatic moments he has with the mom and daughter, in the end the character was completely believable. Of course, a more realistic film with the same cast and crew would've been preferable, but... the outrageously badass film we got is good enough for me.

You want something corny? You got it!

I found it entertaining as well.

The ultraviolence was a hoot. It felt comic book-ey.

Wont be buying the Blu-ray anytime soon, but I enjoyed sitting through it.

Pffft, my suspension of disbelief has higher standards than that.

Years later I look at my grammar and it sucks.

But damn, this movie rocks.

I kind of had the same wibe later on watching Chappie.

You know, kind of let the sense go kind of thing.

Punisher still stands strong.
