Surprisingly not too graphic.

Yes, it was a pretty good movie. I didn't like it so much the first time. I thought all there was to it was sex and gore. But the second time I was able to appreciate the story and characters more. It isn't as graphic as people say. The only scene that grossed me out was the eyeball scene. Other than that, it isn't too much worse than any other gory horror movie.

On a rewatch I was surprised how gore-free it was until the last third. Definitely a movie that gets unfairly maligned as being 'torture porn'.

The same snobs who turn their noses up at this for being a trashy movie for gore freaks will sit and praise movies like The Evil Dead (1981), The Thing (1982), Re-Animator (1985), The Fly (1986) and other gory flicks. They're stupid assholes.

To each their own, I guess. I think this is so far the only movie that I would say you couldn't pay me to watch again. I just can't with the cannibal scene. Or was that in the second?
