I saw the Gamerz box at the local video store. I couldn't tell if it was a comedy or a sad "coming of age" story.
If you've seen it, could you give me your opinion on its style?
Are there other movies with a similar tone or humor?
Will I reach for the tissue box to wipe away tears from laughing too hard, to dry my face from bawling too hard or to throw at the screen because I'm so enraged.
No spoilers please.
It was a coming of age story, but that doesn't mean it won't make you laugh. I guess it would fall somewhere in the "Dramady" genre, part laughs and part serious stuff. The characters are all interesting, if a little hard to understand thaks to their thick Scottish accents.

Honestly, I would put "badly written" as the genre. It will sporadically change tone at ill-advised times; the effect is as if they couldn't really tell what kind of story to tell and just wrote each scene in the tone of the mood they were in at the time.
