I was just going to post that I felt like she was miscast. The role of Maddy Bowen was a woman whose very nice nature helped her in intense socio-political climates. (Lots of thrill-filled occupations, I've noticed, have people who are very nice and have more confidence than most to go into something really heavy, potentially dangerous. Most professional animal trainers--I'm not talking about dog trainers, but whales and other big game--I've met/come across fit this mold, and I imagine journalists like Maddy would be similar.)
Bottom line? I don't think she was nice enough. In many instances, I felt like Connelly was trying to be nice, when she really wanted to scream at Danny. I particularly don't like her delivery of the "It's all I can f-cking do!" monologue.
How's your head, David?
