IDK - whatever they wanted to sell it for after it was polished, cut at certified (ie not a blood diamond). Prob £10M... If its mixed into some jewelry or royal stones- maybe more.

Then you need to higher security to protect it,you and whoever might be wearing it. Topmlevel security ain't cheep, but hopefully they are trust worthy.

I think Solomon got a good deal. After the article was published, it would be decades before he could publicly sell a rock like that. Solomon made enough to start a nice life out of Africa.

My understanding was that it would remain in the fault in order to maintain the price of diamonds already in circulation. If so then it was probably worth more than 2 million quid.
