is this story suppose to take place?
And where did they film it in reality?
In the beginning of the movie you can see the plane from danny fly over a green landscape, where was this filmed? Mozambique or south africa?

The story is supposed to primarily take place in Sierra Leone, with one or two scenes in South Africa. Where it was actually filmed, I have no idea.

Filmed in Mozambique, South Africa, and in the UK.

There is a title card that identifies the setting as Sierra Leone, at the beginning of the film.

"Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!"

Having been to Africa several times and after viewing the location credits I believe the waterfront bar scene was in Maputo, Mozambique and most of the jungle and mountain shots were taken outside of Port Edward, South Africa.
