would a guy be into this movie?

i havent seen it and want to, but who knows if my boyfriend will be into it...any guys out there who saw it and liked it?

reply

Yeah but I'm not in my 20's or even 30's anymore. He should like it because it's so moving and poignant and all, unless he's closed off to his feelings. Try it. It's such a good story.

I thought this movie is one that appeals to PEOPLE, not so much women, just because it's about a female singer. If he's mature, observant, sensitive, has good taste in movies, then hopefully he will like it. If he's a guys guy and likes Clash of the Titans, maybe not.

It is for anyone who enjoys a great movie.

Paul Ryan's proposal is a budget that goes against the teachings of Jesus.

I'm an eighteen year old male college student majoring in Theatre Arts. I just saw this movie last night for a second time, and wow, Marion Cotillard really proved in this film that she is so much more than a pretty face. Just to be able to transform into the life of another human being and have people see you only for your character and not as an actress, that's ACTING let me tell you. To be honest, I was so moved by the end where she was on the beach with the young female interviewer. That part made me see the compassionate, wholesome side she had. I watched the movie because Marion was in it with the fame and recognition the film has done for her. It's nice to know her career is thriving at the moment. Piaf was a rather interesting person.

why not?

I'm a guy and I thought it was a great film, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of the guys I know. They just wouldn't be able to appreciate Cotillard's performance. Also, it has subtitles. The guys I know don't like that.

threads like this enrage me.

Is there some unwritten rule I haven't heard about that guys cannot or should not enjoy any movie that has a female lead or is not an an explosion-fest? Yes, a guy can enjoy this movie, or at least I did.

28 year old male here, saw it tonight and loved it. It helps that I was a fan of Piaf before seeing the film.

I'm a guy and I strongly believe that you need to be mature enough to understand and feel such a movie.
