What Happened To Titine?

Was she a real person? and what was with the scene where Titine kept Edith in her room and drew on her face? wtf

reply

Yes. Also, that scene suggests to me maybe Edith and Titine had an unnatural relationship.

Well, no, according to the extra dvd. The character was added in to imply some sort of affection she would likely to have received from the prostitutes in her grandmother's brothel where she spend a lot of her childhood.

Waddaya mean "unnatural"? They could have just been playing childish games. I do silly things like painting faces with children (some of them anyway).

did it? I thought they were simply putting make up on and messing about? Edith was something that Titine could love that was pure, she was expressing maternal love for Edith. Titine as a prostitute would have had a very sordid life, Edith was the only good thing she had

"If you gentlemen dont mind I'd rather not spend the rest of this Winter tied to this beep chair"!

or maybe she wanted to play more with edith instead fo having sex with men?

I found more of an implication of an "unnatural" relationship between Edith's father and his mother....

watching the film, i had the same need, to find out about titine...why they din't mentioned her after the separation?
regardin the scene with the make up, it's weird, yes...i believe that with this scene they wanted to show that titine's love for edith wasn't healthy..it was some kind of obssesion....

The drawing of the smiles, to hide the frowns. Titine's frown(s).
