propaganda -vs- propaganda

for a moment lets think of hollywood war movies where the good-looking young american soldier kills unidentified, inarticulate foreign evil maniacs hellbent on destroying our freedoms. or about the general brainwashing that has become known as the "american dream".

put in perspective, it strikes me as odd how such western propaganda is in many ways so similar to this film. its all propaganda. vilifying your enemies while idealizing your own way of life into some sort of utopian dream that is void of the evils of foreign ways.

...and yes, i do prefer living in a western, liberal-democratic country. thats not the point.
