I haven't seen the movie, but I recently went to India and had a 21-year old friend pick me out some music to take back with me, one of which was the Ghajini sountrack. I have to say, with my American perspective, this is some good music! Particularly tracks 1 and 3. Anybody speak telugu and want to translate them? But really, its some good stuff.

if ur talking about the telugu soundtrack . the first song is hrudayam ekaddunnadhi.the meaning is,
hrudayam ekkadunadhi hrudayam ekkadunadhi , ni chutune tirgutunadi

Definitely agree with you. I'm a Tamilian by descent, and can speak and understand the language somewhat, but often have trouble following the dialogue in movies because they go so fast, but I LOVE the Ghajini soundtrack as well. I don't understand all the words either, but the music is great, as you said, from an "American perspective".
FYI - if you like the Ghajini soundtrack, some other Tamil soundtracks to check out include "Anniyan", and "Unnalle Unnalle". The soundtrack to the new Rajnikanth movie "Shivaji" is really good too except for that one "Style" song, which bugs the crap out of me...the others are REALLY good stuff. Some REALLY nice songs on those CDs.
Just a few humble recommendations from a fellow music lover.
Another FYI - I don't understand Hindi either, but LOVE hindi movies, and absolutely love some of the soundtracks for those as well!
