Ghajini vs. Memento (spoiler alert!)

I haven't seen "Ghajini", and I don't think I will anytime soon, but can someone answer this doubt of mine? I know that "Ghajini" is a copy of "Memento". In "Memento", Guy Pearce's character in the very last reverse-ended segment discoveres that he is the one who killed his partner, but out of rage for what "Teddy" does, inscribes a note on the photograph wrongly indicating that Teddy killed Natalie, ensuring that in his next bout of forgetfulness, he will kill Teddy and not have to suffer a guilty conscience because he would not know that he has killed the wrong person.

I can't imagine something like this happening in an Indian movie, but I could be wrong. Who is Asin's actual killer? Surya or Pradeep Rawat?

TIA!

It is hardly a "copy." The general idea and some details (e.g. tattoos) are copied, but the narrative structure, the focus of the film, the ambience are completely different.

The revere chronological order is just too complicated for Indian audiences. So the story and characters, except the main character, are changed. Almost every thing about the main character remains the same, though with a few extras:
-He looks a bit 'mental'. In real life the patients don't really alter their behavior. That's why I hated Surya Sivakumars performance.
-Crew cut. To make him look more lunatic.
-Apparently he knows kung-fu, karate and all his opponents are light as feather i.e. a single kick/punch will send them 20 ft into the air.
-And name, nationality, etc.,

And all the w**ores and politicians will look up and shout “save us!”… And I’ll look down and whisper “no.”
