Time Warp

I had no intention of watching this movie (on TV) but endured about 40 minutes of it.

At first, it looked like it was made in the 1970s until I noticed the cars. The characters, especially the males, must have been transported from the 70s to appear in this film. Even the interior decor of most of the residences looked dated. The screenplay even had a dated look about it.

As far as a comedy, a waiter setting fire to someone's hair while being distracted by a so-called glamour is kiddie's stuff.

The glamour in question (Alice Taglioni) is nothing short of very ordinary looking. It seems that she was cast as a Brigette Bardot wannabe. And don't get me started on the mobile phone wanker, Pascal. People who act as pretentious as he does usually end up with a broken jaw.

For a film made in 2006 and presumably set in the same year, the characters and settings seem very odd indeed.

May be you been out in the sun down in the vegie patch for too long.

Some of the characters' housing weren't that elaborate, but that was because they weren't supposed to be wealthy.

Other characters had more upmarket digs.

The film didn't look dated too me.

Mobile phones, fancy cars, super models etc.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder of course but I thought she was a knockout and carried off the role of Elena admirably.

I thought the film was very comical and amusing. I really think it would have been worth your while, seeing it through to the end, particularly as it's not very long.
