did pierre and his wife get a divorce in the end?

The ending doesn't tell you...it didn't tell you a lot of things. Poor ending to what would have been a good movie.

It's deliberately left open-ended, which I think was actually a good thing, though it's clear lots of other posters disagree with me on that count.
