Who picked the 50 movies?

This was a harmless way to pass an hour, but I think it could have been so much better. For example -- how were the 50 movies chosen? By one person, a committee, a poll? It was fun to see that so many of these stinkers have been given the MST3K treatment, including the #1 worst.

The inclusion of that one torture-porn movie seemed out of place, and I don't think the blaxploitation ones, while very anachronistic, were so terrible. Funny, but not in the 50 worst ever.
