That scared the *beep* out of me. When are our fellow Americans going to just be happy with reading the subtitles. I only watchd the Grudge remake because Sarah Michelle Geller was in it, other than that I would never watch one. I hate remakes.

If only we would understand that once we remake it, it loses all of the originality it had when it was just an Asian horror film. =( American remakes pretty much sucks... There are very few I like. And I mean VERY few...

Maybe instead of remaking it, the orignal should just be released in theaters here...

kadidkid13: Too sad, but no chance - though I would really appreciate the idea!

But it wouldn't bring enough money to be lucrative. Too few people would go to the theatre to watch an asian movie "starring someone and whoever from another country" It's sad, but most people want to see "the faces".
And besides, I don't think there are many people who would go to the theatre when they are forced to read subtitles. Not enjoyable. Exhausting.

Facts. NOT my opinion. *sigh*

Oh, but for the subject's sake: *If* they ever think of remaking "Cursed", I think they have really gone nutty. The ones they have remade so far had good or at least not too bad originals. But this one? So glad you were just kidding. omg

The people who go see a movie for "the face" will go see it whether it's a remake of a japanese horror or not, so why do they bother to remake them instead of pumping out another romcom?
Simple, it costs less to pay for the rights to an existing unknown title and pay someone a pittance to "update" it, add the face and *bamn* we've got bigger profits, they no longer care about producing a good movie.

Saying that, I have not seen this title yet, just interested in seeing it.
