Amateurish

Okay, I can forgive a lot of things: limited budget, sub-par acting, generic locations. What I can't forgive is lack of filmmaking talent. What makes this movie terrible is the writing. Characters are constantly spewing exposition. Moreover, dialogue often covers stuff the audience has already seen. At one point, Ricky tells his brother's buddies about the formula twice. And it's not like a short recap. It's long and drawn out.

Furthermore, the pacing was like Hell. I mean, how long are we supposed to watch Ricky try to resuscitate his brother?

Careful man, say anything negative about the movie and the director will write you rather unkind e-mails. (I speak from experience)
But it's true what you say. I definitely agree with what you say.

Hahaha! You mean the director scours through message boards all over the internet looking for people who talk bad about his movies? Psh. I'm not afraid to say it, this movie sucks. It looks like they went out and spent $200 on a video camera and cut it on a Final Cut Pro knock-off. It couldn't have been Final Cut Pro, because I've seen people do some cool stuff on there. The acting is horrible, especially the zombie acting. The overweight white dude pretty much did the best as far as acting, which still isn't saying much. Hopefully nobody else makes the mistake I did and spends like $15-$20 on purchasing the DVD. Although I must admit it's a lot better than "Zombiez".
