Your top 10 Pixies songs?

I got into this band a few weeks back after watching the docu "Gouge". Bought Surfer Rosa bundled with Come On Pilgrim. Liked that. Bought Doolittle. Liked that too. The only studio album I don't have is Trompe.

Have seen a compilation around but, having listened to some of the albums, I'm staggered at some of the omissions from the compilation.

Here's my top 10 Pixies songs, sort of in order:

Monkey gone to heaven
The happening
I bleed
River Euphrates
Where is my mind?
Bone machine
Gigantic
I've been tired
Tame
Down to the well [BBC version]

Do you think I'd like anything off of Trompe?

P.S. I've reviewed a couple of Pixies albums at Amazon. Quickest way to find them is via my review of Coldseed's Completion makes the tragedy. If you like Surfer, I think you may like this heavy metal band. Just click on "See all my reviews" at Amazon.

Cheers.

I like monkeys but i actually think the second half of Doolittle is the best part (songs 8-15), I don't have a top 10, but i have a top 8...:

(in alphabetical order):
*Against Me! - Acoustic EP & Crime as Forgiven By... EP (2001) (these are both just 6 song EPs and were released in the same year and i put them on one CD so I only count them as 1)
*Catch 22 - Keasbey Nights (1998)
*Choking Victim - No Gods, No Managers (1999)
*Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland (1968)
*Operation Ivy - Energy (1989)
*Pixies - Surfer Rosa (1988)
*The Stooges - Raw Power (1973)
*Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb (2003)

I like a lot of punk and ska type stuff, rawer, faster stuff...yeah. If you're really bored you can see my whole collection here - http://rateyourmusic.com/~PrisonBound - and if you're a music fan you should join that site, its gotten me into a lot of great music i probably never would have heard of otherwise. yeah.

I don't have a ten best,it shifts all the time, but what sums the band up for me is my laptop and mp3 got broken recently and I've been listening to 3 Pixies albums constantly for the last few weeks, ansd instead of getting bored,I just like other songs better,Hang wire especially, the harsh vocal with the slightest smoothing by Kim in the back at the end...There is a Pixies song for every emotion,i reckon,no matter how disturbed,or mundane, and the guitars still give me chills,as does the contrast between Frank and Kims vocals. And get yourself a copy of "Trompe" as soon as possible,it's brilliant,Subbacultcha and Alec especially.palace always sounded like a Femmes song to me though...HEY!but they were good too!
