Worst movie ever?

I think so.

No, Kazaam was the worst movie ever. Or was it Showgirls? No, wait, Wayne's World, Part 2. No, wait, I got it - GIGLI

Great disappointment. I thought Robin Williams' family was spoiled and petulant and irritating. Then they had a superior, supercilious attitude toward the other family, who at least liked each other and were kind and helpful. I know we were supposed to think they were hicks and laugh at them, but I simply couldn't.

Really disappointed with the 'tude that was broadcast.

Did you watch the whole movie? One of the family's realizations at the end is that they judged the Gornickes without really looking at the fact that under all of the goofiness they are good, helpful people.
RV is nowhere near the worst movie ever. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be pretty funny. I'm not a Robin Williams fan but he turned it down three notches for the most part in RV. Plus Mrs. Gornicke was pretty hot.

reply

Did anyone else think that their was just NO chemistry within the family whatsoever, I just really didnt notice any family qualities within the movie, especially between Robin and Cheryl.

reply

I know this is really late but that was the whole point of the movie. Everyone in the family was living their own lives and didn't seem to care what was happening with the others. So, the lack of chemistry kind of makes sense.

reply

I thought it was pretty bad. Meaning no disrespect to Robin Williams, but he was absolutely annoying. Funny is one thing but silly I can't stand and he was way too silly. Just my opinion.

reply

This is far from being the worst movie ever. Try watching The Mist, Shopping,
The Big Sleep (Remake),Gone Baby Gone, In the Cut and dare I say it The Dark Knight all much worse.

reply

Gone Baby Gone and The Dark Knight? Were you beaten as a child?

reply

agreed....you cant pan those..

reply

You are completely right. The family is so spoiled and snob that it ruin any idea of a movie. So the guy has to work, to provide the life they have, which seams pretty good, and still is treated like he is the moron enemy!
I am not American and i wonder if there are many families like that in the US.
Just sad...

ps. i felt sorry the father from the beginning...

reply

YES . . . there are MANY families (and esp. kids) like that in America. You must have read my mind . . . I was perusing the comments about this movie (which was on some channel last night), and I came across this. My thoughts exactly! My opinion of the movie was "average" (it was far from "the worst movie ever"); if you're in the mood for some Robin Williams slapstick and beautifully filmed Western scenery (although I think that scenery was "enhanced" somewhat, if you know what I mean), it's mildly amusing. But when they got around to the "teaching moment," "message," "moral" whatever, I thought, "This is why kids in America have such warped, entitled views of life these days." Here's the daughter saying, "I get it, dad . . . to succeed sometimes you just have to do what they tell you." And RW turns around and acts like she's just announced that she was going to shoot up the local post office. You can tell he wants to make a big speech about "conformity" and being your own person, blah, blah . . . HELLO!! Your daughter just had the responsible adult epiphany, but you want so badly to squash it. But the thing is - SHE'S EXACTLY RIGHT! Sometimes you DO just have to do what they tell you. And sometimes, you just have to do things you don't WANT to do. Many American kids don't understand that.

reply

No, I think "Battlefield Earth" was the worst mainstream movie ever made.

reply

worse movie ever, I left it after 15 minutes when my 8 year ago began vomitting in the theatre. Robin Williams must be turning over in his grave, wait he's still alive, but his humor(sitcom) is dying.

reply

I can't believe someone as talented as Robin Williams would stoop so low as a film like this. It's downright tragic seeing him cast in such a terrible simple-minded movie.

reply

I doubt it's the worst movie ever, but it was definantly the worst movie Robin Williams ever made.

reply

!!!???

Have you ever seen "Toys?"

This is FAR from Robin Williams' worst film and it is FAR from the worst movie ever. My goodness, I could name hundreds of films worse than this. I found it quite entertaining and it had a positive message as well.

reply

I went to see it with a couple of my friends.
They thought it was absolutely hilarious.

I DIDN'T.
probably the WORST movie I have ever seen.
I hardly laughed at all, and if I did it was forced.
I can't believe people liked it.
too many forced comedy scenes.

lifes tough...GET A HELMET.

reply

I just finished watching it now, and barely laughed through out the movie. Maybe a few scenes with Robin Williams in it. Liked the bike scene and when he took off with the RV to go to his meeting. But, I still thought it could have been better. The ending was so fast. But, I was kinda glad it ended.

JoJo was better playing someones best friend in Aqumarine. I liked her in that movie. She was too bratty, or cold in this movie. Just didn't understand where her character was going. I felt like she wasn't letting her character change.

I thought the younger version of her was way better at acting and played the character a whole lot better than her. I understand those teenage years, I was a teenager once too, but I didn't like how cold she was with her dad. She barely even warmed up to him. I felt sorry for Robin Williams. HE was at least trying hard to be the best actor he could maybe be in this film, but it seemed he couldn't really pull it off too strong with actors/actresses who are not really in character and not trying very hard acting with him and trying to at least match his humor. I felt this wasn't a good movie for Robin Williams to be in since they didn't give him the options to do more scenes and have better lines where he could be much funnier. It's sad.

I got tired of him saying "My bad" that was too overused. And than the basketball court scene where he stands up for his son, it could have been way better, way funnier. I could see him be so much funnier!

Ah, well, at least I finally watched this movie after hearing about it. At least it was like a family oriented movie where Robin Williams brings the family together. I liked that. He played a good, hard working family dad. I enjoyed watching his character.

reply

I thought this movie was pretty bad, lol I actually figured it would be good because I like JoJo and I don't mind Robin Williams. But although it was watchable, it wasn't really that funny, the plot got so stupid and boring after a while. It definately isn't the worst movie ever but it was pretty poor, well from what I was expecting anyway.

reply

I don't know if I could use the word "good" in describing this movie, but it was ok and worth watching.

It is certainly not the worst movie ever.

reply

I laughed so hard at one point a piece of popcorn came back up my throat, shot out of my mouth and landed down the back of somebody's shirt collar. Now that's fun.

This movie sucked horribly. I did not laugh one time, I found some of the humor revolting and disgusting. Save your $6 and go see something worth your time.

reply

Come on people, there is no way this was the worst movie ever. If you think this movie was the worst ever than you picked the wrong movie for your tastes. You my friend are an idiot for seeing it....if you walked out thinking it was the worst movie ever. You probably liked Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back.

reply

hey screw you jay and silent bob are the two best characters. ever.

reply

You must have really horrible taste in movies if you think this piece of crap was better than Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

This wasn't the worst movie, by the way. I've seen worse, but it still sucked!

reply

I agree, blue collar comedy is not funny at all. I don't know why people keep feeding the fire by supporting this single minded, simpleton humor.

OMG I know! I couldn't even watch them it was so disgusting! I almost threw upppp! I went into the movie thinking it would be, like, kinda funny, but it ended up a huge dissapointment. The entire time I as trying to figure out how much longer I had to watch this (I ended up just leaving) and playing games on my cell phone. Ughhhh I hate this movieeee!

reply

This movie was awful. Not the worst. That's a toss up between Waterworld and Battlefield Earth.

Anyone that laughed during this movie would benifit from a lobatomy.

Well I enjoyed it! There were some funny scenes but as far as worst movie ever? No way! The Ring 2 is one of the worst movies ever because that movie is a useless sequel with no solution!

reply

Can't beat that logic! I love how everyone post everywhere "Worst Movie Ever" and they do not even say why they think so or when they do it useally gose as follows.

"Lyk3 OMG DIS W@S LYK3 DA WORST MOVI3 3V3R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LYK3 SOM3 OF DA JOK3S W3R3 GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LYK3 DIS IS WORS3 DEN DAT MOVI3 ABOUT DA BOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lol I love making fun of net speak.

reply

Worst movie ever? Doesn't pretty much every movie have this exactly subject title under its respective message board?

Watch Manos, the Hands of Fate and then tell me this was the worst movie ever.

reply

This was a far cry from the worst movie ever made. It was very funny and enjoyable, even if some moments were cliched or more bizarre than humorous. When I hear worst movie ever made I think of Gigli, Inspector Gadget 2, most Steven Segal movies, and almost every made for TV movie that has come out on CBS or ABC in the past few years (Shark Attack, the Avion Flu one, and other disaster movies). Why did I watch these movies if I knew they'd stink? I beleive I can't criticize something until I see for myself it deserves criticism and trust me, RV is no where near that bad.

reply

most Steven Segal movies,

Hmmmm...it wasn't bad at all, certainly not deserving of some of the hatred on here! A nice, enjoyable, inoffensive family comedy - 6/10.

Truer words cannot be spoken.

reply

Over done thread: agreed. The movie itself was ok, I'm disappointed in Robin Williams for starring in this. If it wasn't for Williams, this movie would have gone unnoticed.

Remember, remember, the fifth of November, The gunpowder treason and plot.

reply

Ha no body knows the worst movie ever. But I do. It was so bad when it came out and consisted of 5 british girls. You geussed it SPICE WORLD that is by far the worst movie ever. I am yet to see a worse film (I only watched it for about 5 min and turned it off) as the Simpsons comic book guy would say "worst movie ever".

reply

Thanks. My vote for second most overdone thread goes to, "This is a ripoff of . . . " etc.

well firs off you forgot that some of tose exclamation marks should be 1's and the occasional ~.
also its call l3t speak, and "be cool" "doom" and "gigli" are some of the worst movies ever.
not including 95% of the movies that came out in the past few years. movies need to stop sucking, i predict if things go the same way they are, the oscars will be cut to a 5 minute program during the commercials of "everybody loves raymond" in syndication.

reply

I know what you mean about stealing ideas. "National Lampoon's Vacation" + "Lost in America" = "RV".
