Marvelous

I just got through seeing Dominion and I love it! I love the Renny Harlin version too for it's camp value but this version by Schrader blows it out of the water!!! Why the hell do these damn execs in Hollywood think they know what the public will like?! The exec's track record isn't very stable because they release garbage 80% of the time and their good stuff is released in only a handful of theaters or not released at all, believing that the public doesn't want to see anything good. Schrader made a film where the story took it's time and allowed the audience to get involved and then he sprang the shock and horrors on us at full impact and the movie stays with you after it has ended. This year in 2005, saw a huge decrease in box office because audiences are fed up with movies being either mediocre or completly awful! Another example in 2003 with all the sequels tanking left and right let's hope that the execs are starting to catch on and start putting out better films.
