A few minutes in...

and I'm already struggling to not turn the channel! I'd seen bits and pieces of this before and found it pretty horrible. The acting alone, especially Howell's reactions to the more scary and dangerous situations, was pretty bottom of the barrel to me--so bad, you can almost do nothing but laugh.

I decided to give it another try since I'd only seen a few scenes and nothing of the beginning. But in those few minutes (<7), we have a scientist who says that colds can turn into viruses; a very mismatched looking and awkward acting couple, with a man who looks like he could be the father of his wife, and two times over (this isn't the case, but he's looking old for his age in this and she is looking very young for hers); and a son who bizarrely and without warrant asks his father, when the father has to stay behind for work from a trip they were getting ready to leave on, if he's ever going to see him again. *scratches head* I'm guessing for the latter, he's going to use the contrived question and his answer of seeing his son the next morning as the catalyst for struggling through the "war."

It's definitely not getting off to a good start. Kudos to those who didn't like it, yet were able to watch it in its entirety--I doubt I'll make it that far!

Okay, so it wasn't as horrible as I remembered/expected, but it was still pretty bad. The acting is what got to me the most; it was either wooden or overly dramatic. Overall, it offered me more laughter than anything else. :o)

I give it a 3/10 because I was able to sit through all 90 minutes between 3:45 and 5:15 am LOL
