Eragon NEEDS to be remade to the books; and the CHARACTERS need to MATCH

Eragon...the biggest failure in the world of epic book-to-movie makes. I am on my 5th read through of the Inheritance Cycle, and I, among many, know that it is as movie/TV series worthy as Game Of Thrones, Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit, and the Harry Potter series. It needs to match the story (about to a T), and the actors need to physically and personality wise accurately represent the book characters. So many characters in the 2006 movie were ALL WRONG, and not ACCURATELY portrayed. I believe the Game Of Thrones makers or the great Peter Jackson need to be the ones to do this, or the makers of the Harry Potter movies.
Also, the fallowing is a list of the actors who (I believe) could play the characters accurately and look how they are meant too. Age is a bit of a constraint, as there are not many teenage actors/tresses out there currently who could successfully portray the characters of this amazing cycle. Goes the same for actors who would be too old. Hair and eye colors could easily be solved by movie makeup. Some of these characters are more prominent in the other books than in the first, but all need to be cast'd similarly to the ones I have here I think.
For any of these prospective choices, I find it would be wrong to think that because they have played in something else, or are known for something else, they cannot be cast in this movie series or tv series when it is redone. Many of these people have played in multiple movies, not just the ones they are the "poster child" for.

Eragon- Logan Lerman (age 24) Why: He has already played fantasy rolls, and looks more like Eragon than the original actor. And honestly, I was not wowed by the original actor.
Arya- Nina Dobrev (age 27) Why: Why: When I see Arya, I see sharp beauty. While the original actor was not terrible, she was too old and BLOND?! The only adjustment they would have to make with Nina is to dye her hair black, and actually give her ELF EARS.
Saphira- Emilia Clarke (age 29) Why: Saphira’s voice was not meant to be old. When I hear her talk, I hear youth and strength. Emilia has proven her strength with her role in Game of Thrones.
Murtagh- Thomas McDonell (age 29) Why: The original actor was way too old. And, this guy played extremely well in The 100. And, he and Logan look sort of similar, which would fit because Eragon and Murtagh are brothers.
Roran- Joe Dempsie (age 28) Why: Another GOT person. He is more the image of how I see Roran in the beginning of the Cycle. He is only a few years older than Eragon in the books, and in real life to the would-be new Eragon actor.
Hrothgar the Dwarf King- Graham McTavish (age 55) Why: For one, he’s played a dwarf before; the original actor was not even portrayed as a dwarf. He is a good strong actor, and has had authority roles in TV before (Outlander).
Brom- Jeremy Irons (age 67) Why: Honestly, I enjoyed him as Brom. Not exactly what I pictured him looking like though, because he’s supposed to have a beard and walk with a stick. But, with the PROPER dialog and actions in place, he would be a great Brom in a remake.
Orik: Richard Armitage (age 44) Why: Well, it is very hard to place the perfect actor for Orik. He is a major player in the books, and one of Eragon’s closest friends. I choose Richard here pretty much because he has previous dwarf experience.
Horst: Hugh Jackman (age 47) Why: First, the original actor SUCKED. Horst is a blacksmith, the manliest of trades. He’s strong and tall and brawny. With his beard, Hugh would make a great Horst.
Ajihad: Djimon Hounsou (age 51) Why: Another original actor. He would’ve been excellent had the role of Ajihad been PROPERLY played.
Garrow: Gary Lewis (age 57) Why: I didn’t see Garrow as the downtrodden, skin-and-bones actor that originally played him.
Nasuada: Logan Browning (age 26) Why: She is closer in age to the actor for Eragon, original and my pick. I haven’t actually heard her act, but she looks fierce; just like Nasuada.
Katrina: Rose Leslie (age 29) Why: Katrina was not even IN the original movie, like so many others of the key characters. She is young and spirited in the books, and the love of Roran’s life. She deserves a strong female actor.
Jormundur: Viggo Mortensen (age 57) Why: Jormundur was another not even in the first Eragon. He is Ajihad’s closest friend and his advisor. He goes on to advise Nasuada when she becomes the leader of the Varden. He is an experienced warrior, and Viggo would be perfect.
Galbatorix: Mikael Persbrandt (age 52) Why: He played his role well in the hobbit, and defiantly someone who would strike some kind of fear in the people of Alagaesia. You’ll have to give him very dark contacts though.
Oromis: Lee Pace (age 36) Why: He’s already played an elf king. Oromis may be old in years, but he is not in appearance. Lee would look very much the part, and do well in it. You’ll have to dye his hair silver, and again give him ELF ears.
Sloan: Steve Speirs (age 50) Why: He is another original actor from the first Eragon. I think he played the part rather well.
Queen Islanzadi: Katheryn Winnick (age 38) Why: Arya’s mother is just as beautiful as Arya, and they look similar. She is a strong leader and Katheryn has proven herself a strong actress. All you would need to do is dye her hair black and give her contacts.
Gertude: Julie Walters (age 65) Why: Gertude is an old healer from Carvahall. She appears several times in the books, and I think the woman who played the great Miss Weasely would be an excellent match.
Angela: Rachel Weisz (age 45) Why: Though I was not fond of her for Saphira, I do believe she would be an excellent Angela. Again she matches sort of what I would picture her to be (not very young and NOT BLOND). Angela is major in the books, and deserves a respectable actress.
Birgit: Dina Meyer (age 47) Why: This lady in Eragon is tough and brave. She appears several times, mostly in the second book. Dina played tough and brave in Starship Troopers very well.
Solembum: Asa Butterfield (human form) Why: It is actually very hard to find a proper actor for Solembum’s human form (and voice). He appears as a shaggy black-haired boy in the books. He also plays a MAJOR part in Eragon’s destiny. Do take care to get his Were-cat form right aswell.
Durza: Robert Carlyle (age 54) Why: Another original actor. He played an excellent Durza, though like all the other darn characters, you need to work on the dialog and match it to the books.
Glaedr: Benedict Cumberbatch (age 39) Why: He did a good voice as Smaug. His voice is deep and powerful, like Glaedr’s would be.
Elva: Bailee Madison (age 16) Why: Elva is another hard one to place, and is also a major character in the book series. She is so young in appearance, but her voice is that of an adults. Bailee is the best I could come up with; you’d have to make her hair black and her eyes violet.
Firnen: Chris Hemsworth (age 32) Why: Firnen doesn’t show until the 4th book in the Cycle. Even so, he does have a part and he does speak. I say Chris because his voice is supposed to be deeper than that of Glaedr’s.
Jeod: Hugo Weaving (age 55) Why: Jeod is Brom’s friend and another member of the Varden. He helps Eragon in the first book, and then Roran in the second. I think Hugo is a good fit.
Maud: Dakota Fanning (age 21) Why: Again, a hard one to place. She’s a were-cat, and with her personality I think Dakota would do quite well.
Twins: Ashmore Twins (age 36) Why: The Twins are major players in the first book, and again in the end of the second book of the Cycle. They are evil to the core. I choose these two mostly because they are twins and are both actors, which is hard to come by.
Blodhgram: Bobby Morley (age 31) Why: Blodhgram comes to view in the third book of the Cycle. He is an elf that has morphed himself to be more beast than man. But he is graceful in his beastly look. He is another hard one to place.
Trianna: Alexandra Daddario (age 29) Why: Trianna is a young sorceress who Eragon first meets when he gets to the Varden. She approaches him to lead their order of wizards when the Twins vanish. She becomes a more prevalent character in the second book, and needs a strong actress.
King Orrin: Josh Helman (age 29) Why: The young King of Surda, the Varden’s alli. He’s a curious man, very scientific. He was another hard one to place, so I just went with a young actor close to the would-be Nasuada’s age.

I only hope that soon, someone who knows what they are doing will redo Eragon properly, and fallow it with the other three books.
