I've just read the description of the plot. It sounds known to me.
The ones who have seen this, isn't it a remake of "Hsi yen" (The Wedding banquet) (1993)?
I'm not planning to see it because the users' comments don't sound convincing enough. I'm just wondering...

shareNot really, no. While the starting point of these movies may be similar, they're very different in the overall plot, tone and their conclusion. I think it's worthwhile to see both of them.
And since I think Chris Bisson is adorable, thanks to East is East and Shameless, that was an extra treat for me with this film.
