A friend gave me a copy of this movie (omgillegal!) with subtitles and I was unfortunate enough to watch it. IMHO, it was a mediocre movie with an overused plot, dumb characters and an obvious, poor story development.
Not that I've ever watched any actually GOOD brazilian movies... but still! :\
I dont think that this movie was HORRIBLE, but its was pretty mediocre... I rated it 5/10 because its just so cliché, and everything you just said there..
About brazilian movies, I suggest City Of God (Cidade de Deus) and Behind the Sun (Abril Despedaçado), the 2 best br movies in my opinion.
that was not nice...I liked it's just like any other comedy movie..
it´s a movie for you to watch with your family and friends...just to have fun..
and YES there are a LOT of brazilian movies that are great, and looks like your friend does´t no any of them, City Of God, Olga, Central do brasil..mennnn i could name sooo many...and the actors are greatttttttttt.... Gloria Pires and Tony Ramos are awesome..

im portuguese and i enjoyed the film. is a good comedy, its diferent because its not american but its close. it has a funny story with famous brasilian actors.
i gave 7 because i thought it wouldnt have any category. cool to watch
I will admit that this movie is a Brazilian knock-off of the American romantic comedy genre. But as such, it beats 90% of the actual American rom-coms. I am not a fan of the genre, but I was entertained watching this movie. It has its dumb moments, sure, but it also has it moments of hilarious Brazilian humor that you just don't find in American comedies (the American who comes closest to it is Woody Allen, strangely). I would recommend to a friend watching it.
