Just a hugely extended version of a Jack and the Beanstalk panto with the character of Humpty Dumpty thrown in, for no obvious reason? Not enough to keep my interest. Maybe kids would find it OK.
Also they could have inspired themselves a bit more from the actual tale of Puss in Boots from Perrault's fairy tales, about him helping his master marry a princess through his cunning schemes, and killing an ogre etc.
I just watched the movie for the first time and I have to agree with this opinion. The plot was too basic and shallow, in my opinion. It didn't complement the depth and range of the delightful characters. The story didn't do enough with them. Too much mindless running around, not enough character development.
That said, I greatly enjoyed watching the characters and would love to see them in a more evolved plot.
i really really hated this story
it had nothing to do with the cat... the cat felt like a second character to his own movie...
and the egg was annoying and rude and looked ugly. it was annoying movie and it was boring. the jokes werent funny.
it was a mess
