Title

Does anyone know why this movie is titled "Irresistable"? I just don't get it.

I was thinking the same thing the whole movie, the title certainly doesnt fit with the story.I thought the movie was pretty bad myself, but after reading some of the posts on here I seem to be in the minority.
I also was disappointed that her husband wasnt strong enough to not cheat on his wife,I hate that.
The only thing I can come up with about the title is that it was irresistable for Mara not to implemment herself in their lives, but even so,the title is weak.

It reminds me of "Primal Fear", another poorly titled film.

In answer to your 2007 question...

I think it's because to begin with Mara was just wanting revenge on her best friend Kate's death in Kosovo (she wouldn't have been there if "someone hadn't hurt her")...however, when Sophie made the assumption that Mara was her long lost daughter, she found the idea of having a mother irresistible...so she went along with it...and hence her new plan hatched...to take the place of her real kids (final scene).

I'm a Lieutenant Detective in, uh, Homicide. That's a fancy name for murder.
