Stuffed up a question

I was watching it tonight, and i don't mean to be picky but when they had the final questions they had "what was delta goodrem's first single" Noone knew the answer but Adam Hill said it was "Born to try" Which is clearly not true. It was "I don't care" They should get their facts straight!
Anybody notice this?

I'm glad someone else though this as well. I was wondering if maybe it was released overseas and not here, but that never rang true.

reply

I too was outraged (not because I'm a fan of Delta but because I'm a stickler for musical accuracy). I guess the reason barely anyone knows about it was because it flopped. Which is probably the reason it didn't make it to the album.

reply

I bet they probably ment a her first single which was a hit.....maybe......

reply

Maybe its a massive conspiracy concerned with the fact that the media has agreed to pretend Delta's earlier attempts at popstardom never actually happened. I'm sure I remember on another quiz show there was a question about Innocent Eyes being her first album!

reply

Another album? Not just a single? :)

reply

And another wrong one tonight. :)

About Figaro, but it was caught in time.

reply

Oh g-d, I'm spamming the thread, but...

They still have it wrong about Deltas first single!

reply

What was the wrong one last night?

reply

Not last night, but they still think Deltas Born to Try is her first single. I'd have to check to see the exact question now.

reply

They studded up one the other night, The question was "What are the first names of the Finn Brothers"

Now at first thought it's Tim and Niel, but a fan would know that Tim chose to take his middle name when he started performing. His first name is Brian.

Probably not that interesting, but it shat me a bit.

From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Goodrem:

"Sony launched her career with an unsuccessful 'bubblegum' pop single in November 2001, called "I Don't Care", which peaked at #64 on the ARIA Music Charts. The track was a cover of a single originally recorded by Angela Via, which was never released outside of America."

reply

Well, there ya go.

Sarah: That's not fair!
Jareth: You say that so often. I wonder what your basis for comparison is.

reply

This isn't related to the thread except that I love anyone's whose signature is a quote from Labyrinth. I bet we could be friends EBVD

I came into this quite late but i think it was in the last season they stuffed up a question about ABBA's Arrival album, it asked the question what were the three no1 hits off the album, i could only come up with 2 which were Money Money Money and Dancing Queen, they also mentioned Fernando which is not correct, Fernando was never on Arrival when it was originally released, it has of course turned as a bonus track when the album was reissued sometime in the 2000's but it was never on the original release of the album so i reckon this question was wrong.
