I hope NOW Joel Schumacher understands!

He ruined the Tim Burton Batman franchise with his idiotic "Batman and Robin." Burton revived the Caped Crusader by ignoring the "campy" TV show and going back to Batman's comic book roots. Schumacher decided that since he PERSONALLY liked the TV show, he would add all that campyness back in and in the process destoyed the series. It had to be restarted with "the Dark Knight". Well now someone has taken huge liberties with one of HIS properties. Poetic justice I say!
