Going off people's recommendations has failed me once again

The trailer looked great. The concept seemed good. The reviews were very good. The movie disappointed. I was kinda confused where the movie was going, it managed to not be boring but then it dragged on an on with not much happening. In the end I found it to be pretty dumb. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
