So this is, or isn't, based on the Slayer album?

Because quite frankly, if you're going to base a film on any Slayer album, why not choose the UNDISPUTED greatest heavy metal album in history - Reign in Blood? I mean, come on man, the two bookends are the two of the top 5 metal songs ever recorded ("Angel of Death" and "Raining Blood" to the uninitiated).

You mean that Angel of Death and Raining Blood are two of the top 2 songs ever recorded.

Yeah, Reign in Blood is one of the greatest albums ever made, but Dragonforce - Sonic Firestorm and Falconer's first two come pretty close.

On and on, South of Heaven!

Dragonforce comes nowhere near any top 5 when it comes to music, apart from top 5 most cheesy.

Reading is fundamental. He said that Reign In Blood is the "undisputed greatest album in heavy metal history."

It'll be a great day when someone decides to base a movie on Slayer anything, but frankly I think Hollywood is a little too PC to ever see that happen.

The gauntlet is thrown. Step up Hollywood!

This movie is a noir-revisionist film. It has nothing to do with Slayer. It's like Pee Wee's playhouse meets Pulp Fiction. I saw photo's and it's going to be weird.

It is as much heavy metal as Slayer is, because Slayer isn't heavy metal. Slayer is thrash metal, or as we called it in the 80's, speedmetal.
