after watching...

Just curious...

how many of you ran out and forced all your friends to watch it. i did but it was quite a task to get my friends to do it because the majority of my friends are 18-25 and there weren't any "HAWT" guys/girls in it.however the ones i did get to watch LOVE it and we have QUOTE WARS

anybody have the same dillema?

Originally, my friend watched this and all but fell in love with it. And, I'm pretty sure he got alot of friends (Including me) to watch it with him.

I just rented it tonight after seeing that it was available at my local movie rental place, and am going to get my mom and best friend to watch it sometime this week while I have it.

This is by far one of the best films I've seen in a really long time, and hopfully I can get a couple friends to like it as much as I do.

And so, the lion fell in love with the lamb...what a stupid lamb

I'm one of you, too. I've recommended this to all of my friends, it's a shame that Snow Cake isn't available on DVD in our local stores or video rental places.. so they should run around the town to really get a hold of it.. I'm thinking of buying it from the internet cos it's really pissing me off that my friends cannot watch the movie I'm always talking about :D

reply

Really?? they had it in stock at my local borders it was only $20

I so envy you... Well, we have really pitiful stores here in my town (and the whole Finland) so I guess I'd better go and order it from the internet :) When whenever I'll have the time...

But still I wonder why on Earth is Snow Cake getting almost no attention!? Around here a very few stores have it on DVD, I believe.

reply

yah i knew it wouldn't get much attention here in the U.S. but i thought it would get altittle more play in europe.

It played in just a couple of London cinemas for about a week and then popped up around the UK at out of the way "arthouse cinemas" for a few months.
I had to make a special trip to North London to see it (mind you there was the added incentive of Alan doing a Q&A too!)
I'm quite surprised that it hasn't shown up on Sky yet, not even on Pay to View.

yup its a travesty. im hoping some time in the future it will catch on and will be adored by millions, and become a classic. but until then ima be promoting it my word of mouth, and then let the fiulm speak for it self
