I do not understand the DC Vs Marvel debate!

I love comics and as a comic book reader I easily navigate and switch between DC and Marvel. For example I am a huge Fantastic Four fans, they are the character that made me fall in love with comics but I grew to love DC characters as well. Right now my monthly purchased are Fantastic Four, Teen titans, Shazam!, Asguardians of the galaxy, The hulk and Detective comics and some IDW comics as well. So yeah I read a pretty mix bag. I actually feel the same about the movies as well. I can see both Marvel and DC and enjoy both more or less depending on the characters. My fav Marvel films are the two Guardian of the galaxy and Infinity war and my Fav DC films are Wonderwoman and Shazam!. But there are special group of people that feel it's necessary to hate on one studio or the other , I really do not know what they are after by creating post just to put down either Marvel or DC. They would often pick on the box office return on a movie as a way of attacking a film "It did so much less than a Marvel film, it suuuuuucks! You DC looosers! *Add beavis and butt head type of laughter* like if that alone makes it a bad film. Do they realize how childish they sound? To me , unfortunately, they are the ones that gives comic book fans a bad name. And the irony is they are not even real comic book fans as real comic book fans does not go into that ridiculous debate. The only DC vs Marvel I would be interested in would be on the big screen.

I like them both. I was a big DC fan as a kid, but I have to admit that Marvel has been much more consistently good to great across the board in the movie universes. DC has had hits and misses. A lot of people didn't like Zack Snyder's version of Superman, but Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman were great movies with the best superhero battles ever, and memorable visuals. Wonder Woman was excellent.

Yeah, agreed. It makes no sense. We should all want movies to be good, whoever makes them. None of us should be rooting for a film to be bad so we can use this as some excuse to win a non-existent fight.

Besides, let's not even kid. We all loved Spider-Man 2. We all hated X-Men: The Last Stand. We can all appreciate Jason Momoa playing Aquaman, based solely on him being shirtless for the majority of this and any film he's in (this is a joke, btw).

My point is, it's not that deep. We love superheroes, so we should want to love them no matter what logo shows up at the start of the movie. We may not end up liking the individual films, but we don't need to hate on the companies or compare who made how much, as if bad movies don't make bank.

I love marvel and dc as a whole. Most of these debates about the movies rather than the books themselves.
There is more than marvel and dc comics. Image,Aspen,Valiant, dark horse,Dynamite etc. I have a variety of books.

I like them both pretty much equally.

I’ve always loved DC and Marvel pretty much equally and I want both of their movie adaption
universes to succeed. Never understood why some fans feel the need to pick one over the other and relentlessly root against whichever one they don’t like as much.
