This movie proves that DC can be just as violent and mature as Marvel!

We've got a woman being vaporized by energy pulse, demons biting off heads, the villain kills his own family in cold blood...I've hard reports of some parents having to bring their kids out of the theater when it got too intense, so yeah not 100% kid friendly, but it did have enough balance of humor and seriousness the keep slightly older audiences entertained.
Oh and it also touches on a kid having to adapt to life on the streets and from having to go to foster home to foster home, not to mention how it shows Billy's resourcefulness to find his mother. It actually give a valuable life lesson to on how to survive on their own if need be.
