Bey Logan and Jimmy Moy are developing "Shadows on the Sun" as a project that will mark a radical departure from Seagal's tough-guy persona. Scripted by Logan ("The Medallion"), it will feature Seagal as a burned-out former intelligence officer who runs a medical clinic in Japan just after WWII...

In all his recent films he plays a burned-out or former cia/fbi/navyseal etc officer. Why doesn't he play in a science fiction film, since he has never it would be interesting to see him play the part of a fat burned-out martian, should rank high with those cool movies like Pluto Nash et all.

I'm actuelly looking forward to this one, if it's scripted by Bay Logan then I'll definately be checking it out. If it's set in japan I imagine it will have some decnt japanese actors as his co-stars and maybe some decent martial arts action. I've actually been impressed with a couple of his most recent movie Belly Of The Beast and Into The Sun
