Did anyone else get the feeling that Gabriel might be a homosexual?

Overall I thought this movie was good.
Good story, good score, a bit slow pacing, great acting.

After finishing the film,
my "gaydar" started going off and I thought about some things.
Maybe Gabriel was a gay--stay with me-- he had that man friend from the beginning of the movie, who was an athlete. It could be they were more than friends. I know it doesn't explain why he was so nervous when he was buying the Playboy, and when the blind woman was being friendly with him in the basement. I think that's where he blew his chances with her. He could be bi as well.
