I like this film but I always have to laugh when Cage shows his friend (a scientist kinda guy I believe) the chart he has made with all the circled numbers that correspond to disasters and all his friend can say is that it is *beep* and Cage is seeing what he wants to see.
Ahem, anyone can see that chart shows something a little more than that, despite the numbers that are not yet explained!
That scene always struck me as being a little bit silly.
That and a million of other things that don't make too much sense.

I know, that was the absolute worst part. Dude was a scientist and that list was evidence.
Evidence no scientist would argue with, because it was so clearly so far beyond statistically significant, it was beyond question. No scientist could look at those numbers and say it was BS, he would say, "you made this up, right? You're messing with me" or "OMG How is this possible? This is amazing!"
