I liked both movies. But I perferred the plot in Ice Princess as, I'm a Michelle Tractenberg fan and I could relate 2 her character more in the film as the shy book worm; who suddenley learned how 2 skate; becoming confident and successful almost over-night! Go Figure had 2 much of the TV movie vibe with it lol, mainly 'cos it was one; but I still enjoyed it through and the guy in it was cute! I just perferred Ice Princess alil more.

Normally I would say the hockey movie. Mostly because I play hockey and the fact that it's girls playing hockey, which you dont see much. But I would say hands down Ice Princess on this one. Go Figure was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The acting in this movie was terrible and totally unrealistic. Also, to get a scholarship to play hockey at boarding school is next to impossible (trust me I've done my research, I want to go to one). You have to be an amazing player. A friend of mine was ranked #3 in the U.S. and still couldn't get a scholarship to a boarding school.
sharei think ice princess is better, simply because it has more figure skating in it. i thought go figure would actually be more about figure skating considering the title is go figure and not more about ice hockey.

wut u said about it being next to imposible to get a hocket scolaiship at a boarding school isn't true well at least not everywhere Canada it is easy to i know 5 guys from my small town who got into one but maybe thats just because Canada puts more emphasis on hockey then any other sport while the US puts emphasis on all sports

Go figure. The skate scenes with the double were a lot better plus the acting was actually better. Ice princess was totally unrealistic, that someone who's never trained or done the tricks could suddenly do them..yeah right. Both were pretty unrealistic though.
I guess it wasn't the dove...
I LOVE Ice Princess and I watched most of Go Figure in mute, because I was on the phone, but it looked so corny and the acting was horrible! At least there were actors names you could recognize in Ice Princess, unlike Go Figure. So I think Ice Princess is better

In Ice Princess, what they call a SnoPlow Sam class is completely off. In Snowplow Sam the skaters learn to march, how to fall down, and very very basic things like that. You don't start learning your single jumps, or jumps at all for that matter until Freestyle one, or whatever the equivalent is in USFSA. For the recital, that is NOT how you test for a level. When you test, you are the only person skating, and you have to pass MITF before you can take the Freestyle test. There is no way that a 6 year old could be in the novice level, and you cannot skip levels, no matter how good you may be. You have to work your way up through each level. Also, there is no way that a girl who has never taken any lessons, can suddenly go from not being able to jump at all, to landing triple jumps. It is impossible.
In Go Figure, she would not have been able to get a hockey scholarship when she had never played before and there was only one spot. Also, when she's at Nationals, you have to do both a Short and Long program, with the lights ON. The competition takes at least two days, and they don't announce the people going to the Olympics immediately after the final skater skates. Plus she wouldn't be eligible for the Olympics since she wasn't fifteen.
Ice Princess is the most unrealistic, but it has more skating in it, so it's the better skating movie for me.

sharethat is a toughie..usually if it was this tough i would look at which one has the hotter guy...both guys in both movies are hotties....i would though have to say jake abel is a tad hotter....i loved ice princess and i could probably watch more times in a row than i could with go figure cuz sometimes-like in the part where she goes home and the parts where jake isnt there-were boring...so ice princess but only by a smidge..tad...what have you

Uh, I watched Go Figure. Pretty good actually. One of my fave Disney original movie. Never watched Ice Princess though. Can anyone tell me what's the story all about and their opinion on it?
