Did Bambi die?

Could someone please tell me if Bambi died in this movie, coz I think he did but my dad doesn't?

Many thanks!

No, Bambi did not die. "Bambi II" is a midquel, it plays in the middle of the original movie from 1942, see it at a "lost chapter" of the story if you want so.
And the original movie ends with... but how shall i tell it? Everyone know it! :-)
Even in the "offical sequel", the book "Bambi's children" from Felix Salten (the same author that wrote the original Bambi-story) Bambi did not die.

They tried to make it look like he did...

Yes, this works in the connection with the original movie not very well, because everyone know, that there is a happy ending in the original movie and no one, Bambi, or his father, Faline or Thumper or Flower, is ever in real danger in the midquel.
Without the original movie the sequel did not properly work: You must know what happened in the first half of the original movie (but who did it not know??) to understand the sequel fully.
And after the ending of the sequel, you must know what happened in the second half of the original "Bambi" to understand some hints, for example Ronno's remark about the "forest on fire" or his threat to Bambi "sometime we will meet again".

No, he didn't. Didn't you watch the whole thing?

It wouldn't make sense to have him die since we see him grown up in "Bambi 1."

Bambi had a near-death experience in the midquel, but that doesn't mean that he died all the way. If he was dead, he wouldn't of live to see his adult years, fight Ronno and fall in love with Faline and have fawns with her from the first movie.
